Who Can Attend A CBO Connect Meetup?

Any local community business owner is welcome to join if the CBO Connect value offering resonates with them or they have been invited by a mutual business acquaintance who is an existing CBO Connect member.  Ideally we would like to encourage members to invite and grow the chapters organically through word-of-mouth.

The meetups are open only to local business owners …. not sales representatives of businesses. This helps ensure that our CBO Connect meetups provide an ideal environment to connect, engage, learn and grow local community business together through building business relationships by meeting for a monthly breakfast at the start of each month.

Process To Become A CBO Connect Member

The following outlines the process to become a CBO Connect member in one of our local business communities where we have a CBO Connect chapter.

STEP 1 – Find a local CBO Chapter breakfast meetup happening near you.  Register and attend your first CBO Connect breakfast meetup as a guest / first time attendee.

STEP 2 – Confirm CBO Connect fit and value benefit for you and your business and indicate interest in becoming a regular CBO Connect member.  You will then be invited to become a regular CBO member, after acceptance of our T&Cs.  This then provides you with access to various member benefits available in the Basic Member Plan – this will still be a FREE plan – and still requires payment for a breakfast at a local eatery when the monthly CBO Connect chapter breakfast meetups happen.

STEP 3 – Once you have attended your first CBO Connect breakfast meetup and have joined your local CBO chapter as a member, then you will be added to the CBO Connect WhatsApp Group for your home chapter.

How To Remain A CBO Connect Member

Although membership is FREE on the Basic Member Plan, which requires support of a local eatery when the monthly CBO Connect chapter meetups occur, we do however have the following basic requirements to maintain you CBO Connect membership. 

  1. Regular participation (at least 3 of 5 meetups every 6 months) in the CBO Connect monthly chapter meetups – this is where we build local community business relationships.
  2. Adherence to the basic community guidelines on the website and CBO Connect chapter WhatsApp groups.
  3. Promoting of CBO Connect to other local community based business owners.

If you have not attended a CBO Connect chapter meetup for an ongoing period of 6 months, then your membership will be disabled and you will need to rejoin the community.
